A "YOU CAN'T CATCH ME" PRODUCTION STARRING TRENT RICHARDSON AS "THE GINGERBREAD MAN"

Only in the South do you merge Christmas holiday traditions with college football festivities.

When I asked Lucy and Owen to come over to bake off a-just-shy-of-a-dozen-batch of the Alabama Crimson Tide offensive line, I must admit there was a good deal of silence on the other end of the phone. Once the cookies were dived and sent home with the mini-me's, there were plenty left for the "D" line too. Lucky duck!

We didn't quite get to the jerseys and numbers yesterday so I finished them off this evening. Perf-- just in time for the Christmas party tomorrow evening.

Oh, and sorry Nick for the bell. It was sort of an after thought and all I had left...just think of Coach Calhoun from Grease. Win that game on January 9 so we can go back to Tuscaloosa and ring that victory bell. Or at least Denny Chimes.

Thank you for so many cute ideas....I absolutely LOVE your blog. I especially got a kick out of the Crimson Tide Gingerbread Men. Can't wait to see them in action again in New Orleans.

KEEPING IT REAL

Hello everybody. I'm an Alabama Crimson Tide football fan who loves good food whether packing for a tailgate or preparing meals for my uber fan husband, Marrow. Our children: Oscar age 4+, a former rock-eating black lab who has grown into an ultra sweet pup; Gilbert age...8-ish, a gray and black striped tabby cat with a moody, teenager-like attitude, and the newest member of the family, Cledus T., age 9 months. He comes to us via Woodstock, Alabama, about halfway between here and yonder (i.e. Birmingham and Tuscaloosa--Cledus makes me think a little more country rather than rock 'n roll). With a daddy named Bama and a mama named Belle, let's just say it was meant to be. Anyhoo, he's quite the mouthy little whipper snapper of a bloodhound. Me and my family live in a work-in-progress cottage in the suburban South and we're season ticket holders to the greatest football team of all time. Roll Tide, my friends!
